The Central Coast Bonsai Club proudly presents the annual Members Bonsai Exhibition and Bonsai Open. The Bonsai Open is a competition open to all Australian bonsai artists.
The Bonsai Open will be held concurrently with our Annual Club Exhibition on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th March 2026 at Mingara, Tumbi Umbi, NSW. Prestige trophies and lucrative prize money is offered for the winners of the Bonsai Open, Best Australian Native Bonsai, Shohin (Mini), Penjing & Creative Display exhibits.
In 2026, We have an expanded prize pool, with cash prizes offered in addition to attractive trophies:
1st Prize $2,000
2nd Prize $750
3rd Prize $500
Mini $750
Best Australian Native $750
Penjing $500 (New prize category)
Creative Display $500 (New prize category)

Club Member Exhibition
Applications to enter the club annual exhibition are to be made in accordance with the 2026 Members Annual Exhibition Guidelines. These guidelines also contain information relating to confidentiality, judging etc.

DEMONSTRATIONS
A weekend full of informative & entertaining bonsai demonstrations & lectures by noted experts in the field.
Demonstration trees will be auctioned to the public throughout the weekend. A truly wonderful opportunity to acquire a quality tree styled by a highly regarded artist.

LOGISTICS

Central Coast Bonsai club will contact exhibitors in relation to final logistics of Accepted trees / displays in relation to logistics. General exhibitors must ensure that all exhibits are delivered to venue by Friday 13th March between 3-5pm.
No exhibit may be dismantled or removed until the event closes at 4pm on Sunday 15th March 2025. Owners must promptly dismantle / remove all trees / displays upon conclusion of the event.

CLUB SALES ROOM
Our well known Central Coast Bonsai Club sales room will be offering a diverse range of Bonsai specimens at various stages of development, from starters to completed & refined trees that have been grown & or styled by members of the club. Alongside trees, there is also a range of Bonsai related items including pots, tools, books, stands etc all of which are available at very reasonable prices. There is something for everyone at price points to suit all!

For those just starting out in Bonsai to those with decades of expertise, there will be something available for everyone from our select vendors.
