Stage 2 -Intermediate
The Intermediate bonsai course consists of 6 x 3hr weekly lessons with one tutor per four students. Each lesson comprises:
45mins Theory
2 1/4 hrs Workshop / Practical Lesson

Improving Nebari
Shari & Jin
Diseases
Pests
Watering Australian Natives as Bonsai
Symbiotic Relationships - Mycorrhiza
Figs & Lilly Pilly
Banksia & Casuarinaceae
Juniper as bonsai
Japanese Black Pine
The course builds upon the work covered in the Stage 1 course.
If considering to participate in Stage 2, please reflect on the Stage 1 curriculum and satisfy yourself that you are competent in each topic and comfortable with wiring and the fundamentals of design with minimal guidance.
The bulk of the course is “hands on” and participants should bring a plant to work on each week to maximise benefit.
Cost for 6 week course: Fees: Members $150, non members $200. (Non Members can join for $30 and pay $150 for the course, saving $20). Any enquiries can be sent to training@centralcoastbonsai.com.au.
